Over the years, we have dealt with thousands of Intruders, Fire, CCTV and Lone worker call outs per year, achieving average response times of just under 30 minutes, giving our customers total peace of mind. The business has grown by reinvesting any profits achieved year on year back into the business, becoming one of the largest independent providers of Key Holding and Alarm Response in the West Midlands. We expanded our operations to Site Security, Concierge, Patrols, Site Opens and Closes, Vacant Premise Inspections, Events, Remote CCTV Monitoring, CCTV installations and Lone Worker Protection, all controlled from our very own purpose built 24 hours Service Centre. The success of our business is predominantly down to one thing and that is the team we have working at Cava; this is throughout the Company from senior management level to our conscientious officers on the ground. Having an excellent team has had a huge impact on us achieving top 10% of Security Companies in the UK that are audited at the highest level through the SIA Approved Contracting Scheme.

Richard Payton Managing Director
The Owner, Richard Payton, started the Company in 2003 as a sole trader working from a bedroom at his home after having a successful career and grounding with the largest Security Company in the world. After a successful start to the business in it's early years, Richard registered the Company in 2005. From the very start, the business has grown by reinvesting any profits achieved back into the business, becoming one of the largest independent providers of key holding and alarm response in the West Midlands. Over the years we have expanded the operations to Site Security, Concierge, Patrols, Site Opens, Closes and Vacant Premise Inspections, Events and in 2017 CCTV Remote Monitoring from our own purpose built 24 hours service centre. To continue the success of the CCTV Monitoring, Richard invested heavily into software platforms to enable the huge growth that the CCTV Remote Monitoring affords the Company. The success of our business is down to one thing and that is the team we have working at Cava, not only at senior level but throughout the Company to our conscientious officers on the ground which we are extremely proud of.
Nicki Stabbins Commercial Director
Nicki started with the Company in 2010 as a Sales Manager and has now progressed to Head of Operations. Nicki manages the growth and success of the company and coordinate’s activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the operations department. Leadership is a key factor to operations and Nicki’s knowledge from sales background helps in business negotiation. Nicki is proud of our extended and diverse workforce and encourages employee growth and training and development.
Mal Ullah Head of Compliance
Mal has been with Cava Security Services Limited from its concept in 2002 and has over 20 years experience in the security Industry. Mal has been an integral part of Cava’s service development and helped build the business as it is today, Mal is now the Compliance Director, head of training, development and compliance and is a valued member of the management team. Mal in his spare time does a lot of volunteering work currently IAG BME Chair and Vice chair of the North Worcestershire IAG for West Mercia Police with over 17 years’ experience and member of West Mercia Stakeholder Panel, also a former advisor to ACPO National Prevent challenge panel and currently a member of the midlands CTAG (Counter terrorism independent advisory group).
Linda Harris Accounts Manager
Linda has been involved in various account roles most of her working career. On joining Cava Security Services Limited in 2006 her role was mainly accounts, but this quickly evolved to incorporate administration, operations, sales and marketing as the business grew through it’s early years. Linda’s current role is overseeing Accounts management including purchasing, credit control and sustainability of the Company's expenditure and exposure.
Colin Harris Technical Manager
Colin is one of our newest members of the team. He joins us with a background in IT support, CCTV installs and previous history within the security sector. Colin specializes in Hikvision products and is a Hikvision Certified Security Professional (HCSP). His role with CAVA, is to assist with customer integrations, offering a level of support that you may not get with other monitoring companies. He works along side our controllers ensuring that the customer’s get the best service from their system.
Bruce Hancock Group Sales Manager
Bruce has spent his career in B2C and B2B based management roles ranging from the automotive industry to the leisure industry. He has performed roles as varied as operations director, sales manager, general manager, and head of sales. During this eclectic career he has developed a wide range of skills and the ability to put our customers need first whilst trying to meet all their requirements. One of his primary roles is to oversee Cava partners around the country.
Jamie Whitby Operations Supervisor
Jamie is a valued member of our operation team, Jamie has over 13 years’ experience in the security industry and grown through our ranks from patrol and response officer to his current role as an operational supervisor overseeing all contract reviews, customer experience/satisfaction, monitoring compliance with operational policies and the progress of administrative tasks including fleet management and updating assignment Instructions also supervising and training employees. Jamie has completed his ILM level 3 Management and Leadership course and Education and Training Level 3 Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA).
Steve Slade Control Room Supervisor & Vetting Officer
Steve joined Cava in 2017 with over 30 years’ experience in the security industry. Steve is committed to professionalism and quality and customer service/experience. Steve has two roles, control room supervisor and the vetting officer and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Security/Operations within the Control Room ensuring all his staff are compliant with all relevant legislation on data protection laws. Steve’s background is training having achieved his Level 3 (PTLLS) in 2009 and delivering Sia Courses. Steve joining Cava has been an asset to the company and he has been on many training programmes and has completed his ILM level 3 Management and Leadership course, BS7858 Security screening & Vetting Course to name a few.
Gino Cipriani Operations Supervisor
Gino has delevoped and progressed through our ranks, going through extensive training in risk assessments, customer service, health and safety and staff welfare and has past his ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management course. Gino’s current role is Patrol and Response Supervisor and includes keeping staff morale up and promotes our EAP (Employee Assistance Program) also identifying any key issues within our service delivery and making sure all front -line officers are efficient in dealing with the public and our client’s needs.
