Collecting information in this manner allows us to collect statistics about our websites usage and effectiveness and personalize your experience while you are on our websites, as well as tailor our interactions with you. For details regarding the technologies we employ, see “Cookies, Web Beacon and Other Technologies” below.
From time to time, we may also collect information that pertains to you indirectly through other sources, such as list vendors. When we do so, we ask the vendors to confirm that the information was legally acquired by the third party and that we have the right to obtain it from them and use it. The information that we collect, either directly or indirectly, may be combined to help us improve its overall accuracy and completeness and to help us better tailor our interactions with you.

Where appropriate, we may also take backup copies and use other such measures to prevent accidental damage or destruction to your personal data. If a particular part of a CAVA Security Services website supports online transactions, we will use an industry standard security measure, such as the one available through “Secure Sockets Layer” (“SSL”), to protect the confidentiality and security of online transactions. What about cookies, web beacons and other technology?
When you visit our site, our server may attach a small text file to your hard drive – a cookie. Cookies help us deliver a better website experience to you. They tell us whether you’ve visited us before or if you are a new visitor and help us identify site features in which you might have the greatest interest. Web cookies can enhance your online experience by saving your preferences while you are visiting a particular part of the site, can eliminate the need for you to enter your password frequently during a visit and what, if anything, you have in your shopping cart if you do not finish a transaction in a single visit. Cookies are also used for website traffic analysis and anonymous demographic profiling so that we may improve our services.
CAVA Security Services may also use web beacons (also known as “clear gifs” or “pixel tags”) in connection with some websites. However, we do not use them to identify individual users personally. Web beacons are tiny graphics embedded on a website to count visitors to a website, to access certain cookies and/or to help us measure the effectiveness of particular content. We may also include web beacons in marketing email messages or our newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and links contained within clicked on. Again this information is used to improve our services.
We may also work with other companies that advertise on CAVA Security Services sites to place Web beacons on their sites in order to allow us to develop statistics on how often clicking on an advertisement on a CAVA Security Services site results in a purchase or other action on the advertiser’s site.
What rights do I have regarding collection, use and distribution of my personal information? And what about keeping it accurate and up to date?

On certain types of CAVA Security Services promotions, we will ask for your email address in order to contact you in the event you have won a prize. When you participate in these types of promotions, you may receive promotion-related email. Occasionally these promotion-related email messages may include targeted advertisements. If you do not wish to receive such advertisements, you can choose not to participate in such promotions or contests.
